Homestyle Skilett Chicken

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning blend 1 Qaado xawaajiyada Kayjanka

1/2 teaspoon plus 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, divided Nus Qaadada shaaha iyo xoogaa Filfil ah

1/2 teaspoon salt, divided Nus Qaadada shaaha oo cusbo ah

4 chicken thighs 4 cajirada digaagga

2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 qaado saliidda qudaarta

4 cloves garlic, minced 4 habo toon la jarjaray

3/4 pound small red or new potatoes (about 8), quartered 8 xabo oo bataatada gudoodka ah oo xabadiiba afar gabal loo jarjaray

12 pearl onions, peeled* 12 xabo basasha yar yar oo dhuudhooban (basl luul)

1 cup peeled baby carrots 1 koob oo karootada yar yar oo xuubka laga soo diiray

2 ribs celery, halved lengthwise and sliced diagonally into 1/2-inch pieces 2 feer oo silery (celery) oo gees gees loo jar jaray

1/2 red bell pepper, diced Nus barbarooniga gudguduudan oo si yaryar ah loo jarjaray

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 qaado bur (all purpose)

1 cup canned reduced-sodium chicken broth 1 Daasat Maraq digaag cusbada ku yartahay

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley 2 qaado kabsaro cagaar fresh ah oo si yaryar loo jarjaray

Directions: Habkaad u karin lahayd:

1. Combine Cajun seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a small bowl. Rub mixture on all sides of chicken. 1 isku wada dar Xawaajiga Kayjanka ah iyo Nus qaado filifil ah, iyo Rubac qaado Cusbo ah markaas ka mari labada dhinac digaaga

2. Heat oil in large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and chicken; cook until chicken is browned, about 3 minutes per side. Slowly stir in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from bottom of skillet. 4. Reduce heat to medium-low. Return chicken to skillet. Cover and cook about 30 minutes or until juices of chicken run clear. Increase heat to medium-high and cook, uncovered, about 5 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Sprinkle with parsley before serving. 4.
